A percentage bonus is the most common type of bonus that you'll generally find at an online casino. This type of bonus is so common to online casinos because the casino does not take as much risk with this type of bonus as with the No Deposit Bonuses. The reason being that with a percentage bonus the player must deposit funds into their online casino account before they receive their free money bonus. Other rules called wagering requirements are implemented as well as to avoid having people abuse the free bonuses that are offered by online casinos. The percentage bonuses that are offered by online casinos varies and often times changes with new promotions and offers that the casinos may be giving out. We've outlined some examples of percentage bonuses for you below.

Examples:

40% Match Bonus - If a casino was offering a 40% match bonus it means that they were tacking on 40% as the bonus to whatever you deposited at the casino. So if you were to deposit way $1000 at an online casino and the percentage bonus was 40% up to $400 FREE it would mean that the casino would give you an extra $400 to play with at their casino absolutely free. This would give you an initial bank roll at the casino of $1400 dollars to play with.

100% Match Bonus - A 100% match bonus is quite possibly the most common type of match bonus that you'll find at an online casino. The reason being that it's the fairest bonus to both the players and to the casino. A 100% match means that the casino will match your deposit 100% up to a limit which is set by the casino. So if the casino states that they offer a 100% match bonus up to $100 FREE it means that they offer a $100 free bonus with a $100 deposit into the casino.

200% Match or Higher Bonuses - A 200% match bonus is common as well but not as common as the casino takes a larger risk with this type of bonus as people are more likely to attempt to abuse this type of bonus. As a result the casinos that do offer 200% or higher match bonuses implement stricter wagering requirements to ensure that you play though and don't just come into the casino claim the bonus and cash out. So with a 200% match bonus if you were to deposit $100 into an online casino they would credit you with an extra $200 FREE, in which case you would have an initial bankroll of $300 with the casino.

Things to look for in an online casino when looking at their bonus:

  1. Look at the casinos wagering requirements if they look kind of out of whack move onto another online casino.

  2. If it seems too good to be true it probably is so if you come across an online casino that supposedly offering a 1000% match bonus or something ridiculous like that then it's probably bullshit.

  3. The wagering requirements that online casinos implement usually require that you play though (wager) the bonus amount (x) amount of times before being able to cash out, and in addition they have limitations sometimes on the kinds of games you count towards your play though so make sure you read though the wagering requirements as this can not be stressed enough.
